1924 - In Miami, Florida, Johnny Weissmuller sets a new world record in the 100-yard freestyle swimming competition with a time of 52-2/5 seconds. They can do the butterfly faster nowadays.

1968 - The Basketball Hall of Fame was opened in Massachusetts

Michael Jordan and Jim Brown. That's a pretty high powered birthday list.

After I originally commented I seem to have clicked
